Martin Hernandez

Martin Hernandez is a local to San Luis Obispo County having graduated from Templeton High School before transitioning to Cuesta Community College where he competed in Cross-Country and Track and Field. Martin continued his academic studies and running career on a Track and Field Scholarship at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia where in 2006 his team won the NAIA National Championships Cross-Country. Martin then transferred to Shorter University in Rome, Georgia where he was a two time All American from the 5K to the Marathon. After graduating from Shorter University, Martin decided to pursue his Master’s Degree in Business and graduated in May 2013. Martin was promoted as head Cross-Country Coach. Only coaching for two years, he won two NAIA Track National Championships and had two athletes who he guided to the Olympic trials in the marathon and the 3K steeple chase. Martin moved back to Templeton to be closer to family and to pursue his running career. He trains with Asics Aggies running club which is an Olympic Development program and has the goal on qualifying of the Olympic trials in the marathon. Martin is happy to have joined SLO Motion Shoes and is available to meet with you regarding your footwear needs.
